Wat zijn je errormeldingen / logs?

Misschien bepaalde modules van Python niet compleet?

Zonder logs / error meldingen is het een beetje
schieten in het donker en hopen dat het raak is.

Ik heb geprobeerd wat logs zichtbaar te maken.
daar kwam zoveel info vrij, kweenie.

Maarrr.

Misschien speelt mee dat de spindle niet aan wil?
(blijkbaar tot nu toe niet geprobeerd...)

Ik heb nog even mijn oorspronkelijke aansluitdraadje doorgelezen maar daar is niets verkeerd gegaan:

In de oude linuxcnc draait de spindle wel gewoon, is dus geen hardware dinggetje.

Werkt een gewoon standaard meegeleverd AXIS 4-assig voorbeeldje wel?

Er bleken nog dos line endings te staan in de oorspronkelijke hal file maar die veranderen naar unix en daarna de configuratie opnieuw naar het nieuwe OS verplaatsen maakte geen verschil.

Zelf ben ik nu ook klaar met mijn upgrade naar Buster.
Ook ik heb aardig lopen stoeien met een probleem wat aardig op die van jou lijkt.

Mijn probleem was dat ik een zelfgemaakt GLADE boxje (om mijn v-snaar positie aan te geven en PID regeling van de spindle te aan en uit te zetten.) niet aan de praat kreeg omdat de pins die in de glade file werden gemaakt, niet werden gevonden door mijn custom_postgui.hal file.

Nu blijk uit uit de Gladevcp documentatie dat de custom_postgui.hal niet gegarandeerd na het laden van de GUI of Gladevcp componenten wordt geladen.
Dit bleek inderdaad het geval onder Buster. Achteraf had ik dit probleem ook onder Wheezy, maar dat was alleen als ik LINUXCNC snel achter elkaar sluiten en dan weer opende.

Er zijn volgens de documentatie,( http://linuxcnc.org/docs/html/gui/glade ... up_process )
2 oplossingen. De oplossing onder 3.6 werkte niet naar behoren bij mij.
De oplossing onder 3.7 werkte wel.

Ik had nog wat ander hal dingetjes in mijn custom_postgui staan wat met wat de Toolchange te maken had en dit niet wou aanpassen. Daarom heb ik een aparte .hal file gemaakt voor de pins die moeten verbinden met het betreffende GLADE boxje en uit mijn custom_postgui.hal gehaald.
Daarna heb ik in de .ini file dit aangepast:

beltchange.hal is de nieuwe .hal file die ik heb gemaakt. De -H ervoor geeft aan dat deze .hal file pas geladen mag worden na dit glade item.

Nu werkt het perfect. Dit overigens ook aangepast in mijn Wheezy config.
Omdat ik wel wat probleempjes verwachte heb ik een op een andere partitie Buster geïnstalleerd. Hierdoor kon ik af en toe switchen en makkelijk files kopiëren
Deze heb ik nu nog er naast staan zodat ik be eventuele problemen toch een werkend systeem heb.

Weer heel wat probeersels verder, helaas geen resultaat.

Ik had de md5sums van de geïnstalleerde iso en een vers gedownloade iso vergeleken en de geïnstalleerde bleek niet correct.

Dus een nieuwe installatie gedaan maar ben er nu even ver mee als eerst.

Een simulator configuratie start gewoon op, de mijne ook maar zonder live plot en zonder werkende spindle, net als eerder.
Ik kan niet meer staan en kijk scheel, andere keer verder.

Wat heerlijk dat vergruisde Windows, start altijd op, CNC draait erop zonder problemen.
Nee, nu dat Linux... ik lees een alleen maar ellende... :mrgreen:

Deze opmerking is net zo zinvol als een scheet laten terwijl je maaltijd wordt opgediend.

Het "vergruizen" van Windows spreekt me dan wel weer aan...

Wil Bart best doen, maar die heeft eerst nog even een huis te verbouwen, verwachtingen te managen bij de rondborstige directie, en de werkgever tevreden te houden (nouja, voornamelijk de klanten). Komt wel, maar niet binnen nu en een week of 2-3.
