emco stepperdriver from tm02 control with pc

Hi!

i am new to the board! hello :)

i am searching for someone that done a complete wiring to a emco stepperdriver to a pc or another control.


i want to play something arround with the original emco stepperdriver with the original berger lahr 5 phase steppermotor.

my question:

is it important that the single windings are correct in polarity?
what i mean: does it matter if the 2 cables on a winding are switched?

On a 3-phase motor that will cause counter-rotation (motor turns wrong way).

I think a 5-phase motor may do 3 steps forward, 1 step back, 1 step forward.
Effectively move only 4 out of 5 steps with a wiggle in the motion somewhere in every 4 steps.
